Policy is where we came from

When we founded NBYR in 2019, we had two primary objectives in mind: 1) recruit, train, and elect the next generation of Republican leadership, and 2) advance and promote public policies that benefit our generation. To date, NBYR has participated in 3 legislative sessions (87, 88, and 89) and we are gearing up for the 90th Legislature in 2027. From year to year, our Club pursues a variety of policy priorities, but some of the policies we’ve advanced in the past include:

• Constitutional Carry

• Protecting the Lives of the Unborn

• Creating the Texas Water Fund

• Criminal Justice Reform / Bail Reform

• Getting DEI out of Texas Colleges and Universities

• Creating Funding for Research at Texas Universities

• Increasing Healthcare Affordability

• Increasing the Accessibility of Homeownership
