About the New Braunfels Young Republicans

In 2019, a group of 6 young leaders banded together to form the Comal County / New Braunfels Young Republicans (aka NBYR) as a resource for young people to learn about the Republican Party, meet candidates and officeholders, and network with like-minded peers. Over the past 6 years, we have evolved into Comal County’s preeminent political club. We are actively working to recruit, train, and elect tomorrow’s leaders. We are block-walking, phone-banking, and working on campaigns to help elect conservative leaders to take our community into the future. We are participating in legislative advocacy in Austin and DC, ensuring that our generation’s priorities are being heard and acted on.

What We Believe

At New Braunfels Young Republicans, we believe:

• We believe in a free America where we are governed by The People

• We believe in limited federal government

• We believe in States’ rights

• We believe in a free enterprise economy and a free market

• We believe in the rule of law and we support our law enforcement

• We believe that all People are created equal and are entitled to equal rights under the law

• We believe that God commands us to unconditionally love others

• We believe in the power and the voice of young people

• We believe in responsible and safe gun ownership and the constitutional right to carry for law abiding citizens

• We believe in a strong criminal justice system that punishes violent offenders

• We support teachers and educators and any measure to increase teacher pay

• We believe that transgender and sexually-oriented media is for adults 18+ only

• We oppose biological men participating in women’s sports

Our Membership and Our Activities

As of December 2025, we have more than 300 members. Our members come from all walks of life and all ages - that’s right, anyone of any age can join and participate in the New Braunfels Young Republicans! Our board members and officers are aged 18-40, but we’re otherwise an open membership.

Throughout the year, we participate in a wide range of community events, including, the July 4th Fireworks, Fair Day Parade (late September), Downtown Christmas Lighting (late November), Wurstfest (early November), Wassailfest (early December), and the New Braunfels Farmers Market (every Saturday).

Additionally, we host our own monthly meetings, social networking events, candidate forums, and fun nights on the town!
